its a silver ford focus 1.8 automatic (yeah) with skirts (looks more flashy). yeah one of the things that ill be missing back home.
his name is "boss/bossing" he's a d.o.m, a very wealthy dirty old man. much to my regret, he once sported a sampaguita hanging on his rear view mirror to make a fashion statement. i dislike it very much. he often honks whenever he passes by those sleazy places by the road - he... loves attention.
BUT even though bossing is a wealthy old fart, he has breeding. he loves japanese, south american, and indie music. the first track he ever played was The First Of The Gang To Die by Morrisey. and when's he's sick of playing them (not to mention that damn Les Misrables 10th annivaersary concert CDs), the glove compartment has a connection to my ipod... which he plays 90's music.
he looks very cool and well, very cool on the street. sometimes, he doesnt like it very much when he goes to "mordor" places in manila and when he parks next to "orcs" and "trolls". he's still not tinted for obvious reasons.
"big red" (named by my niece), my dad's red ford escape is still getting used to boss and they share the same garage for now. they're like, you know, insecure of one another because theyre both divas. like her namesake in the film "bring it on", big red puts the whore in horrible and drinks like a fish but she's still big red... on the streets.
more pics here.
yeah. its been a while and i don't know if im still gonna be up for this post because a lot has happened when i started my vacation in here. im still in the philippines and im going back this 12th. after christmas, i went with my friends and did a lot of drinking, loafing around, bowling, and a lot of road trips.
yeah it was quite fun last christmas, it was colder here, much to my liking and everybody wore jackets up to january. at least, where i live.
it was fun to see my friends again, of course, my niece, my family and relatives as well. they were quite overwhelmed with the gifts - i was overwhelmed too.
my friends are still there, we've known each other since we were like kindergarten and its been good that, you know, we still go out for drinks. my girl friends, we dont really see each other because theyre already hitched, even though i am the godfather to their sons and daughters.
we went to bars and drink buckets after buckets of strong ice beer, it was smooth and sweet than that beer-mixed-with-water san mig light. after we went bar hopping from city to city, we played bowling, our favourite sport next to basketball. we did this for 4 days straight. if only bowling was cheap, we couldve played it everyday.
then at the end of each day, we would do something stupid. just for the fun of it, just like the olden days. but we dont get into street rumbles and troubles now, were too old for that.
there are a lot of things that i miss in the philippines. actually, i can enumerate them. lol. there's dirty ice cream (its not dirty but locals call it that), there's cheesy tv shows, there's jollibee, there's jeepney rides, slow-to-non-moving traffic, theres my favourite isaw, dried mangos with gourmet shrimp paste, sun setting at 5.30pm rather than 7pm, mountains, greeneries, sceneries, dramatic sunsets, etc.
well, i miss the simple life here. its simple, but its very happy and it isnt complicated. there are lots of things that i want to show you but im running out of words.
